THE GOD OF PEACE

Peace – Definition No. 5 in The American Dictionary of the English Language by Noah Webster 1828:

Freedom from agitation or disturbances by the passions, as from fear, terror, anger, anxiety or the like; quietness of mind; tranquillity; calmness; quiet of conscience.

God is the Source of our Peace:

Ephesians 2:12-18 He is our peace, who hath made both one,…one new man, so making peace;… came and preached peace to you which were afar off,

1 Thessalonians 5:23,24 The very God of Peace sanctify you wholly: spirit, soul and body

Peace comes from the Word of God:

Psalm 119:164,165 Great Peace have they which LOVE thy law: and nothing shall offend them

Isaiah 26:3,4 Thou wilt keep him in Perfect Peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:

Isaiah 48:16-18 …hearkened to My commandments!then had thy Peace been as a river and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea.

We must decide to have God’s peace in our lives:

John 14:25-27 Peace I leave with you, My Peace I give unto you:

Philippians 4:4-9 The Peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus

Colossians 3:12-15 Let the Peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called

We must speak Peace to release God’s Peace in our lives:

Mark 4:35-41 Jesus said unto the sea, Peace, be still,

Luke 10:5,6 Whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
